A little about Heathfield…

In the past, Heathfield was situated along an old path connecting the South Downs and the Weald. It got permission to have a market in February 1316 when Edward II was the king. The town became prosperous in the 16th and 17th centuries because of iron from the Weald.

Every April, there’s a fair called the Heffle Cuckoo Fair in the town, and a yearly Heathfield Agricultural Show happens in the summer.

The town is where Heathfield Park Cricket Club was founded in 1878. The cricket ground is one of the most sceneic spots in Sussex to play cricket.
